I took this shot in Kenya, I thought it looked cool with the reflection and all.

the sky is really bland and this is reflected in the water, the little zebra is kinda lost in the middle of the pic so i would suggest cropping into portrait and leave a little to one side to take the zebra off dead centre, maybe even a black and white conversion with a curves tweak could it the "oomph" it deserves ?cheers martyn

Welcome to EPZ Kalle.

This is a good shot in what looks like quite dull light. I like the complete reflection, well done.

The composition can be better with the Zebra off centre, and you can leave it as a landscape format if you crop space from the left. The black bars to and bottom would be best replaced by more space using the background, which Ive done in the mod. Ive also increased contrast and sharpened a little.

I hope you find this helpful, and look forward to more of your shots.

Beautiful shot !!.....lovely & crisp, with a great reflection !!

I've done a simple mod. to create a stronger upright version with a bit more contrast !!

Not a bad effort at all, but both mods are improvements as I'm sure you will see. Why the black bars top and bottom?

Thanks for all the replies. The mods do look better. I'm not sure why I put the black bars there, I've seen photographers do it, and I think they work well with this picture.

Black bars can work with some images for sure, - and they can work with this also, - but the image without bars should first be composed well, - as in having more space top and bottom, and the Zebra off centre, - then try the bars, - it will look better still.
