I've been posting general mobile snaps on my wanders around town to a FB local group - it's been quite entertaining - just ordinary roads, ordinary places and attacked with Snapseed - one of the 'looks' I've made. I take a load of pics at lunchtime,...

    Pentax 18-135mm vs 18-270mm Shootout

Two lenses, both a very useful range, and obviously the one with the widest focal length range won't be as sharp. Will it? To find out, i did an impromptu rough test, both lenses being mounted on a Pentax K-3 II and the camera in turn on a solid Manf...

Today I didn't go far - just a potter round to Tesco at lunchtime so I took random snaps en route. This is the playing field I cross at least once a day - get off the bus on the right side and cross over to the posh road where my office is. It was ...

Oops - looks like I neglected to upload a pic yesterday (Monday) - how remiss of me! I took a few photos on my bumble through town on my way back from visiting a friend in the afternoon. Made a change to have the light shining on different buildi...

    Places - Lyme Hall

The weekend was a busy one, for once pursuing our own personal photography, and Sunday saw us heading for Lyme, a large National Trust estate at Disley, just beyond Stockport. Sue and myself, along with Sue's brother Mark and his wife Diane, plus the...

    XT2 and new lens

Hello all. Haven't done a blog in a little while, I've had the worst month of my life recently so photography hasn't been top of the list. Anyway, I recently picked up an XT2 as an upgrade from the XT1. The XT1 has taken a back seat as a backup/se...

    Rubbish Cart

Spotted this rubbish cart underneath London Bridge Station. The cleaner had decorated it with little plastic characters and stickers and it looked quite jolly. Unfortunately the cleaner was nowhere to be seen so I didn't get a shot of him, but goin...

    Places - Walton Hall Gardens

Our travels this last weekend took us to Walton Hall Gardens, basically a large and very well maintained park in Warrington. However, let's not underestimate what Warrington Council have done with this fine looking hall and its grounds. The hall itse...

Yet another pic taken at the bus-stop. I did go to the park for a while earlier but I preferred this pic to the other general about town ones I'd taken.

A quick pic taken on the way to the bus around 8.30 this morning. The phone boxes are now used as display spaces for various bits of 'art' - which I'm afraid have yet to interest or inspire me but maybe one day they'll put something good in there. ...

I had planned to take a few snaps on the way home this evening but ended up walking into town with someone and ended up chatting most of the way. I did however grab a pic of the Masonic Hall as I passed - better than nothing!
