    Going Pro.....

Lots of talk on line about what "professional" means. To some it means "high quality" to others it refers to someone who relies on photography for their living. Often times these two definitions do not run hand in hand. Market forces I hear you cry! ...

    Photo 365 - Number 203 - Hooker Shoes

I've some new shoes to play with - a friend was having a clear out and I just had to have these. A tad tight but hey - they're only going to be worn in front of the camera :)

Does your picture tell a story?

The impact of your picture can be greater and the image can be more memorable if your picture displays a story. This picture was shot by me, as the dog crossed the river http://www.ephotozine.com/user/pablophotographer-162600/gallery/photo/the-dog-wa...

    Valencia tomorrow...

Myself and the 600D are off to Valencia tomorrow. Hopefully I will manage to get a good shot or 2. Looking forward to the Oceanogrāfic etc. If the pictures fail then at least I should get a tan....

    Photo 365 - Number 202 - Still Life

I had planned on producing some daft self portraits this weekend but somehow that didn't happen. Certainly not today when I spent much of the day tidying the 'studio' as I've a shoot next Sunday afternoon that will require a bit of space. As it was...

    Project 365-250

I never thought I'd get this far and that the time would fly by so fast, so quite an apt upload for today. These boots...... Looking around the house for inspiration, I thought I'd photograph my boots.

I've got a Keencut Rondo to repair/service. I didn't know what a Keencut Rondo was/is, until I Googled it. I also sourced some photos of it. It cuts circles and elipses in mount-board and glass, for artwork/picture frames. Should be fun. I've d...

    Photo 365 - Number 201 - Interesting......

I've spent much of the day fiddling about in the gardening - emptying old pots, filling them up again with bulbs and wotnot and then, having found yet more bags of assorted bulbs, randomly shoving them in any spot I could find. I was planting some A...

    Week 18 of my 52

Another week away from home and once again no chance to get out with a camera, fortunately though yesterday's weather was ok and the flowers in the garden were out. As always, comments welcome.

    "What format should I use?"

I'd recommend you try them all, especially if you shoot still pictures. There is of course a reason we call vertical pictures "portrait" pictures and the horizontal ones "landscape" but if you have a digital camera play around. I have seen portrait ...

    Photo 365 - Number 200 - Tewkesbury

I took myself off to Tewkesbury this morning hoping to find some nice 'new' bits in the junk/antique/charity shops for my pics. Sadly there was nothing of interest to be found but I did come back with an armful of flowers as one of the shops was sel...

    Managed to get out!

Weather was OK but light was pretty poor. Test run went very well and very impressed with the 600D, especially considering this was just using the kit lens! Next lens is definitely a more telephoto lens, 55mm max is no where near the distance I need...
