    Day 206: Door to nowhere

This sealed up doorway is in the grounds of Rotherhamís Boston Park. Apparently it used to form part of the College of Jesus, founded by Thomas Rotherham and now demolished. Nikon D300; Tamron 18-270mm PZD @ 18mm; ISO 200; F/10; 1/250s. VC on.

    Day 205: Afterglow

After a minor soaking in Leeds, we stopped off on the way home so that I could grab the last of the sunlight in Greasborough. You can still see some of the rain on the right of the photograph. It just needed a cyclist coming up the trail. Niko...

    Day 204: Da-dumÖDa-dumÖ.

Iíve been working some pretty long hours since I started my new placement, so Iíve had to be creative today. I didnít realise we had so many serrated knives. Nikon D300; Tamron 18-270mm PZD @ 270mm; ISO 200; F/9; 1/160s. VC on.

    Day 203: Cherry Blossoms

Everything seems to be bursting into life this week, which is a pretty good sign that the warm weather is on itís way. Cherry trees line most of the streets around this area, and it really does give the place a face-lift. Nikon D300; Tamron 18...

Taken in front of the church at Hooton Roberts before starting work, and loaded into Pixlr, just to see what it did. Nikon D300; Tamron 18-270mm PZD @ 70mm; ISO 320; F/11; 1/250s. VC on.

    Project 365-260

These are some of the pellets I am using in my airgun shots. They are not like the old lead type but are made of a lightweight alloy and have a plastic sleeve. They are far more powerful and accurate than the lead type.

Once again the only photos I've taken today are of the violin - I did one arrangement but then decided it was no good and started over but by then the light wasn't as good as it might have been. I'm hoping that come the weekend I can get my head wra...

    Project 365-259

I had to pop out from work for an hour and while I was out I drove passed this field of rapeseed. When I first passed it the sky was clear blue but there was nowhere to park. I knew there was a layby on the other side of the road so stopped on the wa...

    The Journey

As many people know, I've been doing photography since about April 2011. My daughter just had several major surgery to make her some hip joints and I had to leave work to look after her while she was bed bound for the next 12months+. I was working ...

I really like the idea of reenactments, they put you in the middle of something that really brings history to life for you, especially when a lot of care is taken to make it as realistic as possible. But apart from a jousting event in Devon I'd never...
