Mmm - is it too early to talk about New Year resolutions..? Are they worth bothering with..? Does anybody actually keep them..? I suppose I'll make all the usual ones - then I'll be drinking again by January 2nd, loads of new clothes, shoes and co...

    Almost Christmas

Christmas is almost upon us, people! No white Christmas this year, weather forecasters assure us, and lots of rain before Christmas Day, and possibly some on Christmas Day. Oh well. So it's better to be inside a lot, I suppose. Even for shopping. Whi...

    Brugge Hat & Towers

On a trip through Belgium, I decided to make a stop at Brugge and visit the Christmas market in the old market square. I was standing in front of a market stall that sold scarves and hats, looked up, and saw this. I rather liked the unusual combin...

    Santa & Snowman

Everyone and everything is getting ready for Christmas, and there are Christmas products to be bought everywhere. This mass of Santa's and Snowmen drew my eye.

    Late Christmas Decorations

In Bruges, they still had the Christmas decorations and lights, last week. I had fun walking around all evening, shooting this and that - decorated and lit houses, church towers, etc. It was a nice evening. Here's a sample of what I saw:

    Day 122: Happy Christmas

This lovely selection pack was just one of our gifts (thanks Mum and Dad). If you haven't sampled Hotel Chocolat, I'd strongly recommend visiting their website. Nikon D300; Tamron 18-270mm PZD @ 270mm; ISO 640; F/6.3; 1/15s. VC on.

Day 121: Frosty and the kids

We're now well into the pre-Christmas rush now. There are a lot of houses around us which seem to take it very seriously. It was particularly windy this evening, and whilst the Tamron 18-270?s vibration control did a very good job of helping to...

    Project 365-116

Well I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas Day and Father Christmas was kind to you. We have loads of sweets in the house and I have over indulged to the point of never wanting to see another sweet again :( My own fault for being so weak. The ...

This is just to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Since we're not having a white Christmas this time, here's what it looked like last year:

    Project 365-115

So, this is Christmas, and what have you done? Looks like another year is over, a new one will soon begin. (Kinda reminds me of a jingle I've heard, well it rings a bell anyway :P) The stockings are hung, just gotta wait for the fat man now :D ...

    Day 119: Morley High Street

We went to visit our friend this afternoon, and took a walk up to see her new house. On the way back, I took a few minutes to strap a gorillapod to a lamp-post to photograph the Christmas lights in town. The Tamron 18-270 PZD works well wit...

Day 116: The season of giving

And this season, someone gave me a cold! The next few uploads will be centred around my house so that I can preserve my health and hopefully make sure I don’t have to miss any work. I gave my partner this ornament a couple of years ago (she...
