Dave_HendersonAfter yesterdays attempt at the pocket watch and parts I decided to have another go this morning and came up with this after a little more thought about composition. Used the can opener tool on the knife as a lead in to the spare parts .... seems to have worked.

AliceLuisePhotographyBack Again! Well done to everyone that won something in the ephotozine christmas draws. I personally won, a foliopic Pro one year account. Not much has been happening lately in the studio, apart from my lecture putting my work up on the walls and then i quote " That picture next your work...

Sarah-studio flashback

GlamourAcademyUK This image composite was originally shot on Fuji100 transparency film, and also Kodak 1000ASA b/w film, as stock to send to a picture library. This was in about 2002 when digital simply wasn't up to the quality produced by film. I would then shoot different versions of the same set up, on different...

Couldn't Resist

conradI've had a very busy two weeks, especially the last week - and the weekend was crazy busy. Fifteen, sixteen hour workdays, in bed by 2:00 A.M. Exhausting, and no time to myself. But yesterday when I was rushing about to get everything in my crazy schedule done, and just before leaving the apartme...

App Happy

conradI realise that not everyone likes grunge effects, old film looks and arty-looking borders for iPhone photos. So although I've started liking all of those options more and more, sometimes you just have to try less drastic methods, right? So here's another windmill shot from my iPhone (I just happe...

Episode 21

xandaI recently spent my second day in the studio with a new model called Lee. When Lee's shoot was over it was Ruby's turn and we played with the studio's ringflash which was fun. I've now added some angle brackets and white brollies to my portable flash kit. Better than that though I've bought a co...

Episode 20

xandaI finally got round to doing my first ever studio shoot yesterday. Unfortunately Ruby was not able to attend as she is still away touring Europe so it was just me and three models: Lucy, Sophie and Holly. We had the place to ourselves for the whole day so there was time enough to photograph each mod...

Models Required

shutup123Ok, so ive been in my studio a month or 2 now and done a handful of shoots with some model friends of mine. I'm impressed with the results that I have got. I'm still looking for models from around the Portsmouth area, so if your interested, get in touch!

Episode 19

xandaThings seem to be moving forwards at the moment albeit slowly. On Wednesday Ruby and I travelled to Gravesend to do a test shoot with a lovely young model called Chelsea. Despite the weather being a bit dull Chelsea did extremely well. It was her first shoot and I'll be posting a few photos so you c...

Episode 14

xandaI managed to do my second shoot of the year on Sunday. It was a struggle given the miserable weather at the time but Holly put up with the wind, rain and cold so we could get something out of the day. Holly jinxed it on the drive down to Brighton, when it was bright, clear and damn near perfect, by ...

Episode 8

xandaIt's been a tricky couple of months and I haven't done as many shoots as I had planned for the Summer but never mind. I did manage one yesterday with Sophie (Love de Carvalho). We found a derelict shed (or something) and spent a couple of hours taking some photos in and around it. I'm working on the...

Photo Shoots on TV

conradI don't take a lot of people shots, and especially not a lot of portraits and stuff. But I would like to take more. So I look at portraits on EPZ, read about portraiture in magazines, and watch programs on TV where they show shoots with models. Of late that has meant watching Coleen's Real Wo...
