The Somerset Levels are a unique landscape of marshlands, rivers, rhines and farmland re-claimed from flooded salt marsh. The Yeo flows right through it and has a footpath for almost all its length, giving the photographer lots of photo opportunities to explore. Both landscape and wildlife, bird photography in particular. Being flat, sky and character light are key ingredients so, for me, winter is the best time.

Convenient access points are where roads cross - Mudford, Ilchester, A303, Long Load and Langport.
