Mum just checking them over..again!
six day old chicks and one to go!! V2 egg does have a small crack so it would soon emerge
Mum keeping them sunny France
did not take a longer lens there!!!

Back from a lovely time in France with Jenni Alexander and husband Bob!
I drove over 800 miles!! lots of lovely places and loads of photos to process

Now planning another trip over for September with Lynne Joyce

Thank you for so many messages and to Mark who actually phoned me in France
checking that I was well!!...thank you all

Will catch up slowly...hopefully!

Oh, these are precious, Lillian. Those colourful little heads are wonderful, and mum looks as if she is smiling with pride.
I used to watch these little darlings being born and brought up when I lived next to a lake, and have some wonderful memories and pictures, but will probably never experience the wonder of that again, so this serves to remind me.
Some say that it's the distinctive white beak and ‘shield’ above the beak which earns it the title ‘bald’ (as bald as a coot), not the look of the chick's head, but who knows where these sayings come from.
