After the Storm

Hi everyone..... Hope your Christmas and New Year was a great one.
The recipe for this picture was, 1 night of freezing rain and then add fast dropping temperature to -41 celsius. It is amazing how something so beautiful can be so destructive. Thousands of old and beautiful trees have been broken by the storm.

Usually it is too cold in the winter in Canada for an ice storm to happen. Though I remember a few years ago, you got one. They are beautiful, and VERY destructive. This is a wonderful image, and I have a sense of the trees down. And probably a loss of power in places. You have has some seriously cold weather up there.

Wow that is cold. We have just left hot summer temps in Australia. Cannot imagine cold like that. Sad about the trees. Great shot
