Was struggling for a subject today, but then started thinking back to yesterdays image, eggs crossed my mind again, but was eventually drawn to cutlery of some sort.
This is what i came up with.
This set, consisting of carving knife, fork and steel, has been in the family a long time. As i understand it, My grandfather, Denis Sorrell, bought this for his mother, Anne, with his first weeks wages, i'm not sure when he started work but i think it would have been sometime in the 1920's, as he was born in 1911.
It would have been his birthday in exactly 2 months time, 16th March, he would have been 103, but sadly was take from us on 26 Feb 1976 at the age of 64, just over a fortnight before my 1st birthday. I really would like to have known him.
