The Beautiful Game?

I may have escaped your attention, but there is some sort of sporting event kicking off today.

It is of course The World Cup, with the host nation, Brazil, looking to win it for a 6th time.

Today image is the only Brazilian thing i could come up with.




A map of Brazil, which is the largest country in South America, the fifth largest in the world both by geographical area and by population, and the largest Portugese speaking country in the world. It's also the world biggest coffee producer and has been for the last 150 years.

Any way back to football. I think Brazil must be amongst the favourites to win especially on home turf, having said that they suffered a shock defeat to Uruguay, the last time they hosted in 1950, Will history repeat?

As for Englands chance? well i'm not holding my breath, i'm not even convinced they'll make the knock out stage.

Only time will tell.
