Never wanted to get this close either, but now that Ade has done the impossible, hey, he's not so bad. A few more spikes than we care for, yet all those eyes in a smooth globe look smooth. That miner's lamp between the antennae seems handy. Give him a big wet kiss on the eyeballs for me and let him get back to the important dirty work fate has assigned him to. TG

Phenomenal detail in this outstanding close up Ade, not surprised to see the clicks fly in for this one. I take it this one got swatted after being snapped, some of those togs on Collard Hill yesterday that incurred your wrath were lucky that they did not befall the same fate!WinkTongueGrin

Absolutely incredible. I have never seen such detail in a macro and I am impressed with this.
