Great image of abandoned brick-a-brack. And thanks to Google we know something about the Maj. General . . . . assuming it is the same guy.
London Gazette - 31 May, 1946: Col. (Actg. Maj.-Gen.) R. S. LEWIS, O.B.E., I.A.,to be temp. Maj.-Gen., 5th Jan. 1946.
Rural Council Report 1964: Councillor: Uansantffraid Cwmdeuddwr: Maj. Gen. R. S. Lewis, C.B., O.B.E.

The image suggests the Major's chest (and that old empty champagne case) might be exposed to the elements. I hope not, but now, they are saved for posterity in the electronic ether.

Great shot - and wonderful eye to spot the image.

Making sense of chaos… This is superb - the tonal range as well as the composition.

I don't know how safe it would be to have that fire on, but this is a cosy little corner with all sorts in it. That sort of chair is very comfortable - I'd love one if I had room. Interesting shot.
