Here Comes The Sun ...

Thanks in advance for all views and any votes and comments ...

I'm NOT a bird photographer, but I AM one of those people who have a gallery of images that relate to songs ... stick this on, on Youtube or wherever (it's the Beatles one, natch), close your eyes, and you can almost picture the bird flying about in the introduction ...

So this is just a reflection of the subtle signs that spring is arriving, and the cheering effect that always has on me ... getting out of the house to take photos, for starters ... :O)

Exposure:

ISO 200
Shutter 1/800 sec.
Aperture f5.6

Interesting comment. To my eye as a non-birder, so many bird photographs are concerned with detail, sharpness, not with composition or emotion. This one works wonderfully - it's about freedom, soaring high, and that streak of clean bright light along the leading edges of the wings.
I'm seeing a couple of dust bunnies in the lower part of the frame, faint but quite large, it would be worth checking over the original.

Thanks Moira, I can see three db's now - very annoying, but that's what happens when:

- you are constantly changing lenses and rarely cleaning kit, and
- pp'ing with your laptop literally on your lap and back to the window

... lol ... :O)

This -is- about emotion for me rather than capturing a 'wow' pic of a bird (but that's very easy to say when you are cr@p at photographing birds, lol). I tend to go into hibernation in the winter (must be my thin Mediterranean blood), and my mood suffers correspondingly. Today I felt as buoyed up as the bird was. The sky was achingly clear and it felt good to be alive ... :O)
