Patience Rewarded

By martin.w
6 o'clock in the morning and it was pitch black at Edale and I was there after barely 5 hours sleep. A steep 40 minute walk got us to Ringing Roger, a plateau with stunning views over the valley....and dawn broke with heavy cloud with a touch of light underneath. After that though the clouds broke and provided some lovely light across the scene.....making it all worth it. Smile

Also along were Martin Levers(martinl), Andrew Yu, Stephen Elliott, Phil Sproson and Tesni Ward....good to meet up with you all Wink

Worthwhile indeed! The light is spectacular, really enlivening and modelling the scene for you and creating depth, vibrance and drama. Your banded comp really works the light with the side lit rocks leading the eye past the shaded FG and into the mid ground.

If anyone doubted that light (together with the talent of the bloke behind the camera) makes a landscape, they need only to look at this to have their doubts dispelled once and for all,
