Big Gerry and Baby Bertha

Having recently bought a copy of "Only Here for the Beer" I was moved to dig out this picture from the 2002 Festival of Speed. It suffers a bit from my not having a HUGE zoom lense but if I'd waited any later Mr Marshall would have got her back on the black stuff and a little drama would have been lost. Tail squatting and slightly out under power, clipping the grass - its the abiding memory of Gerry Marshall and Baby Bertha. RIP

I remember watching Gerry Marshall race both Big and Baby Bertha at various race meetings and he was always very 'extrovert' in his driving style. Have a vote for the memory.

this is stunning, because of the car, i saw this at silverstone last year, and havnt see it since, the back tyres are huge, and the hole car is...
