Rosemeyer's Shade at Play in the Park

By Actuarius
This is by way of an introduction and a case of getting "one on the board." I have a passion for cars, aircraft and trains and a love of the 1920's and 30's. From this I generally try to achieve a "timeless" image when photographing a pre-war subject. Not having my Father's wit and patience in image manipulation (he posts here regularly) the pictures will just be cropped to create a better composition. All tips and constructive criticism is greatly recieved. If nothing else I hope my pictures bring some pleasure to those who view them. This one was taken at the VSCC meeting at Donington Park a few years back and is of one of my beloved Auto Union C types. 16 cylinders, supercharged, 1937, 200MPH. It doesn't get much better!

I like the way you've panned the camera to get the illusion of speed. This could have been taken anytime in the last 70 years.

Yeah it really does look old and in keeping with the cars age.
