Sussex Riley

By Actuarius
Taken a few years back this (along with my intended next upload) remains one of my favourite "timeless" pictures. It was taken during an early December MG Car Club treasure hunt at Charlton in West Sussex. I think the shallow depth of field helps with the period feel as well as lifting the car from the background. This picture is unmoddified and uncropped.

The world existed in colour in the 1930's but I know what you mean. If you want to have a go then please feel free.

Lovely Riley Kestrel - travelled many miles on the back seat of one of these - unfortunately I was only eight at the time. I look forward to more evocations of the era, in whatever colour!

I love these classic cars, they remind me of an era goneby, photographically this is a brilliant image that, in my opinion, needs b/w. But looks as was in colour, I also like the depth of field in this shot.

As you say the Shallow Depth of Field helps - I think that is an extraordinary picture. A lot of my recent pictures have been taken with just such a lens.
