Blot on the Landscape?

By ade_mcfade
This is a typical west yorks scene - you get lovely golden fields, long shadows from trees and can see for miles... and there's always some cooling towers there of course

This one's Eggborough and lies in the middle of 3 statsion on the M62.

Was out with Dave, this was from the canal banks where he took the shot of me stood on some old lock gates

I've put the "?" at the end of the title because in many cases, they've provided me with a focal point and location for maney a shoot. So are they really a blot?

Great shot.

Reminds me of my youth. I lived near Redcar, Cleveland. My dad worked on the farm in front of Wilton ICI chemical works. Often looked like this.

I'm liking the light on this one Ade, although the shadow is a bit of an issue for me. Still the shot is a stunner, again!

They're never a blot, always carry an industrial beauty.

You've caught the light superbly. A blot? can't say really as you and Dave make 'em look great.

I love the light and composition - it records the land as it is, I guess. From this distance in this light, they look almost attractive. Click

Matt - I'll go saw the tree down for next time Smile

I quite like it, gives an air of mystery to the foreground.

I've got a few with the sun in too dave, but it just dominates too much in my shot. thought this was a bit more subtle. you going to post yours?
