Desolation in HDR

By ade_mcfade
There's something about a new technique or toy that makes an old and familiar location a completely different experience to the last visit.

This was on Sunday at about 11:30 and my first attempt at HDR at the place, and also more exitingly, the first with an angle viewer

Also, I'd never seen icicles on the thing either.

You can just about make them out on the middle of the flows.

I've started taking 5 shots of every HDR so batch processing is easier, so it's over 10 stops here - any more I've found doens't really add that much in most situations, though there are exceptions of course.

Not a great deal in CS, though added contrast and a little dodge and burn here and there.

what a few weeks or waterfall worship I've had.

Loads of other stuff - but these really stand out of the pile

I love the movement and colour in this. There is something about this image I really love, i don't know if it's the angle or what but there are a lot of waterfall images on this site and this one really caught my eye

cheers everyone

I had little faith in HDR after the first few outings....

just stick with it kids, it comes with a few practices and you get to realise which scenes will benefit...

I'm certainly getting a lot of waterfall shots in - but they are of different falls Smile

I for one, certainly find it difficult to find fault with this one Ade. Even the sky looks right which is an achievement in itself.

Nice composition and some fabulous detail throughout.

Congrats on the HC too mate, well deserved.

Well an HC and I must say well deserved.

I love this but you know what that means Ade! Many questions lol.

The picture is fab and just has to be viewed large to be appreciated.
