Wood White on Hogweed

By Ade_Osman
A rare male Wood White Butterfly taking a rest on some Hogweed......The Wood White is a delicate, slow flying butterfly usually
encountered in sheltered situations, such as woodland rides or scrub edges. The males fly almost continuously throughout the day in fine weather, patrolling to find a mate, whereas females spend much of their time feeding on flowers and resting.

My favourite species, so I'm making no apology for posting yet another one Smile Full frame, no crop and straight out the camera other than adding the border and a small amount of sharpening, just how I like them, because I'm lazy at fannying around processing my images Tongue.......Thanks for looking....

Ade

Easy to understand why it might be your favourite species: I do like the range of delicate colours......blue/green, pale lemon yellow and greys.
And as always you capture your subject in immaculate detail and with it showing off perfect;y against the b/g tones.

The most satisfying images (for me) are the ones which need the least fiddling with. And this one is a doozy, Ade. Well done SmileSmile
