Poppy

Taken last night, had to use ISO 200 although on a tripod as the flowers were blowing in the wind and did not want to show any movement. Not much done to the photo, slight colour correction, curves and sharpened. Please feel free to comment and thanks for looking and any votes.

Very nice - well done...

I like poppies but tend to find that they don't come over that well as an image either due to interference in the picture from other surrounding flower heads and foliage or due to the fact that it's frustrating to get a satisfactory composition as they blow around in the breeze. I like the simplicity here and there is some nice detail and colour and rim lighting upon the the stem...

The petals are transluscent..the light is shining right through them. A beautiful image and so well presented.
