A lovely exercise in how different formats work. My vote goes to V2, for the direct relationship between boat and sky.

An excellent trio, Adrian. We've seen a lot of old boats recently (at Dungeness) but they never for one moment pall as a subject for photography or discussion. Is it something primeval, perhaps?
While these are all superb - and what a pov in V1! - I must admit that the composition in V2 appeals most to me, too.

Lovely set of images but I favour V2 too for the composition with the boat at a slight angle and then the eye being taken away out to sea between the cliffs.

Each of these three shots deserves a posting in it's own right, they are all so good: your extremely low viewpoint in V1 works so well to set the prow against the sky, and each of the bigger views is so attractive too. A very nicely captured and presented set, Adrian.

I like the bold presentation ov V1, but like v3 even more as it tells a different, more complete story!

Love old wooden boats, like all 3 images. Low pov of no 1 is great, my favourite would be no 2 for composition. Excellent.

I really love the low perspective on this - the colors are wonderful and the lighting just right..Jo
