Wow! You've posted many a great image here on epz but I think this has to be your best yet! I love both versions but after some thought, reckon it has to be V1. Such clarity, great light and wonderful composition. Those clouds lying close to the horizon are rather like the cherry on the cake for me and add something very special to an already superb image.

I have to go along with Ann's (EAS) comments here, Adrian: as super image of the magnificent sailing ship, and my preference is with the sepia tinted version.
(PS. Sorry.....seem to have missed a lot of your recent postings.......R)

v1 for me Adrian........lovely clarity and rich deep black (if that makes sense)

Lovely work Adrian, I love both versions ... 1 for the sharpness and clarity and 2 for the atmospere and warmth ..... if i was
pushed to decide the V2 would have the edge for me Smile

I favour V2, it feels more gentle, not so harsh, if you know what I mean. Great shot of the visitor.

A wonderful ship, which I expect attracts a lot of attention when it shows up - both are excellent images, but I think the warmer tones in v2 have the edge for me

not sure which one i like best as both are superb mono's you really got the mono image bang on.
