Man in the Tree

By AdrianTurner

Lived in Swansea all my life and was unaware of the existence of this carving. When I spotted it from a distances I thought the trunk of the tree looked remarkably like a face, as I drew closer I could see that it is in fact a carving.
Just had to take a shot of it, thought I would share it with you.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment.

Mike, thanks also. Unfortunately not, it has ivy and the like growing over it.

Thanks Mike & Mike, so many Mikes tonight.

Mike (effexor150) I think a lot of local people agree with you about it being great to look at, there are three rows of arced benches in front of this and judging by the worn ground, they must get a lot of use.

Nice to see you back. Hope the broadband is OK now. Great shot - perhaps it's a predecessor of an Ent. Excellent capture. I'll have go and have a look at this piece of natural history sometime soon, if it ever stops raining.

It would not suprise me if this was so Debbie.

If anyone is interested Here is a link to a couple of pages depicting its creation.
