The Harvesters

During a delightful long weekend getting together with the family at a holiday cottage nr Evesham the view from the bottom of the garden was, almost as far as the eye could see, of the asparagus harvest. In this shot the Polish migrant workers are peeling away the miles of polythene cloches, they are then followed by another team cutting the spears that are of length, leaving the smaller shoots to grow on.
