Great shot . I was there for a fantastic day. Still working through my 743 shots!

    Perfect timing!

I'm a great fan of the Lanc but I'm afraid the static props are just too much of a pull on the eye and look wrong. Try adding some motion blur I'm sure it would make it a better image.

  • High Cup Nick

Great view, photo just a little overworked for me, lacks some contrast and depth. Wish I'd been there though.

  • Triplane Dogfight

It's unfortunate that the two planes overlap and merge together.

    Excellent shot.

Great shot, not loud it purrs!

  • Club cricket Horsforth, Leeds

How about a crop just below batsmans feet , not sure the bottom part is contributing much?

  • "D8096"

    That's a lovely clean shot.

  • Water skiing at Wiremill Lake East Grinstead

Cracking image of the boat but....Where's the water skier?

  • Hawker Hurricane

This is a great head on shot, unfortunately classic mistake of having too high a shutter speed which freezes the prop which just looks wrong . You could always use some selective motion blur to fix it, as it is a great shot otherwise. Well done.

  • Spitfire MK9

Nice one, just the right amount of prop blur.

  • #77 Ryan Farquhar

Great image., I might be tempted to try an even tighter crop as the brighter area top left and the shadow top right are a bit distracting? Not really a problem though as it's a great capture.

    Excellent first attempt!

Great shot, love the sweep of the wings

  • Let him get up

This has potential but needs a much closer crop on the action. Unfortunate that the spectators are right behind the main focus of the picture.

Cracking shot. Is this cropped? It might benefit from a little more image above the helmet? Nit picking, it's a fabulous shot. Editors choice nomination from me.

  • 41 squadron Tornado GR4

Brilliant capture. Used to live near there and these boys can be quite frightening if you driving along not expecting them, swear I was used as target practice on more than one occasion .

  • Heading for the start

Generally speaking the best action shots should have the action coming at the camera rather than away. There's no real focal point in this shot and the white van is a real distraction. Sorry.

I think I must have been stood almost next to you. What a great day!

  • Tommy Bridewell

That's a great capture with a phenomenal lens. Love the sharp detail. Interesting choice of shutter speed. Might be my screen but it looks a little dark, but that's nit picking. You should be very happy with this. Nominating it for an Editors Choice Award. Well done.

  • Norwegian Vampire

Nicely captured, unfortunately it doesn't appear to be too sharp?

  • Mustangs

That is a cracking shot, nice one.
    • 25 Aug 2014 9:31PM
  • Varnishing

I suspect some motion blur has been added? But the sharp lottery logo looks a bit odd? A well captured dynamic shot overall. Well done.

  • Leap Frog

Interesting moment...but generally speaking sports action shots should I think have the action coming at you rather than going away, I just think they work better from a dynamic point of view. Shot is Crackingly sharp though and well caught, which isn't easy.
