Strawberry & Cream II

By afyfe
Had another go to try and improve my technique. Increased the consistency of the cream but that meant I had to throw the strawberry into it, which then increased its speed and became a flash sync experience.

Learnt alot and hopefully it has improved. If you get the chance read up on Harold E. Edgerton - what a clever chap he was !

Better than the previous upload because it was slightly burnt-out, this one isn't though - nice work.

this one took about 4 or 5 takes believe it or not. I read up a bit and then played with the lightin, blew a flash bulb then resorted to the other flash head and some reflectors. The secret is the depth of your cream. Smile

A simple and effective image that I'm sure was far from simple to capture.

its not as hard as all that. if you are going to have a go, set your lighting up, and then get your bowl of cream, make sure the cream is not deeper than the size of the strawberry. You are aiming to capture the strawberry as it hits the bottom of the container and becomes stationary whilst still displacing the cream. all pretty easy stuff Smile

Brilliant! Clever shot. I wouldn't have thought about the depth of the cream thing.
