I don't think the blur affects it too much, gives it a softer feel, but I think there's a touch too much shadow on the face. Good composition :O)

As Alan says, the blur doesn't spoil it too much. The lighting on the right is a little harsh though and you could do with something to reflect a little light onto the left.

Lovely picture, like the softness, but personally I'd have cropped the left. The sepia suites the pic very well.
