Really nice image but you have spoilt it by putting your name on it.

It distracts my attention form the bird.

An amazing close up, full of glorious colour and details. I don't think I'd want to get this close to a gull!!

Some super detail, especially on the beak. As with your goose shot it is a little boxed in.
When you crop leave a little more space in front of the bird .
Its worth under exposing on shots like this to retain detail on the white and any darker areas can then be adj with software.
