Into the Sun

By ajhollingbery
I had watched this microlight taking off from this spot on several previous days and photographed him against rather bland skies. But this particular afternoon the sky was clear and he headed straight towards the sun - great! After combining three different expsures from the original RAW file I produced this dramatic image.

wow! fabulous,
lovely shot.
cropping the strip of land would give a different look, espionage maybe.
though with the land it tells a grand story too.

Personally, I think that you should leave the bit of land in the foreground, but I'd either crop the flare out or clone it out (if you wanted to keep the same format)

Thanks for commenting on my work. It is by listening to others views that my own creativity is inspired.
I left the strip of land in so that there was a base to the picture and also to tell the story that the microlite had just taken off.
As to the flare, again this was left in on purpose to tell the story of flying into the sun. When printed, the flare is more dominant and the colours more obvious.
