The Good Samaritan

By Alan_Baseley
The sculpture in the front of our town hall. It seems an appropriate title for the first day of a new year, far more appropriate than the alternative name used by some--The lager Lout.

If anyone wishes to see a large version of the shot it can be viewed here

Mono looks good in that light with the shadows and texture. Nicely free of distractions.

Beautiful and moving. What immediately comes to mind is the memorial to Father Edward Flanagan, founder of the Boys' Town community, origin of He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

A wonderfully observed image Alan, one which has been wonderfully composed, processed and presented.

Excellent treatment Alan. The mono tends to give this the appearance of a fine old engraving.

Nicely composed and presented Alan. The nickname for the statue is very apt, given the pose in current times. Smile

Happy New Year
