I use Photoshop Elements 2020 and would like to post some of my edited images to Facebook but the "Share" option does not show this as an option.
Any help as to how I could do this would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks.

Many thanks to all who responded to my question - much appreciated.
Len: I think I will go ahead to buy this lens but contact the supplier (WEX) if I think it is a bad copy.

This lens is now available at 699 for WEX and I`m seriously considering it to use on my Nikon D750.
The question I would ask for comments please is can the lens be used straight out of the box or do you really need to use the optional sigma "dock" to tune it with the camera?
I have a Sigma 105mm 2.8 macro lens (old version) and it really is good and have never had to tune it with any Nikon DSLR that I have used.
    Thanks

"Not taking my time. I need to slow down."

I find that by using a tripod, it slows me down a lot. I pay more attention to what`s in the viewfinder and my pictures seem to benefit from it.
Of course, there are always situations that whilst setting up, you miss a shot but as I am mainly into landscapes, this is not really a problem.

I need to kick myself in the butt and stop finding reasons not to go out and take photographs (especially in miserable weather)

I Have a Nikon D750 and use a Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 tripod with a Manfrotto 498RC4 Ballhead attached and find it really great. Not too heavy either.
I believe the Ballhead has been replaced with another model but google it and you`ll be able to confirm.
I`ve used Manfrotto for many years and have always been happy with their equipment.

Angie and everyone else who responded, all I can say is thank you very much indeed!
Using the Alt key and Open Image together does exactly what I want and it`s amazing that in just over 24 hours from my original post, I am now a happy bunny with an edited file and an original raw file (note no caps PhilWink
    Again, thank you all.

  • Commented on 'RAW images in PSE 13'

I make changes to the RAW file, "Open Image" into the editor, save and then close but when looking at the organiser, the edited version is displayed ok but the original RAW file also has recorded the edits so I have 2 edited versions and not 1 edited version and 1 original RAW file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

If I were to download NX-D onto my computer, how would I link it in to Elements 13?
Presumably somewhere in Elements I would have to tell it to open with NX-D but how and where?
I would appreciate any advice you can give me.

    Many Thanks

  • Commented on 'Macro focusing'

I`d be very interested to know what your camera settings are for macro (mainly flower) photography.

I have only just started to take a serious interest in this having a Sigma 105mm 2.8 macro lens which I am ashamed to admit have not used for many years and only now realising its capability! I use it on a Nikon D750 with manual settings on between f5.6 and f11 with a shutter speed 0f 1/250 and using auto ISO. I am finding manual instead of autofocus gives me the best results.

I notice some fairly high ISO readings on certain subjects but put this down to being close up to the flower with surrounding leaves causing shadow, especially with a bed of sunflowers.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Thanks for your replies. It completely froze and I was unable to do anything - not even a factory reset. Tried another lens and battery but still dead.
The camera has been returned to the supplier and I am expecting a replacement to be delivered later today so hopefully this one will be ok.

    Thanks again

Last Tuesday - 31 March, I took delivery of my (new) Nikon D750 with 24 - 120 F4 lens and I have spent time reading the manual and setting it up.
I have taken around 350 pictures but today, when I switch it on, instead of the normal display of aperture, shutter speed etc. it just shows AF-S S
I cannot look at menus, or playback, it just freezes.
    Any ideas ????

    Thanks for any advice.

I am staying in Aberaeron for 3 nights later this month and wonder if anyone is able to point me in the direction of good places to visit and photograph within a 20 mile radius of the town.
I have been to Aberystwyth so don`t really want to spend too much time there but feel sure there must be plenty of good places around Aberaeron.
I have contacted the Tourist Information Centre but not a lot of the information I`m looking for.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

    Hi

I currently have a Nikon D300 using PSE10 but thinking of buying a Nikon D7100 and wonder if PSE 10 will support the D7100.

I use RAW all the time and want to be certain all will be OK using a D7100.

    Many thanks for your assistance.

I have a Nikon D300 with a MB-D10 permanantly attached and have just bought the above item and had intended buying a Manfrotto 234 head but have read that this head is no good when trying to use with the battery grip.
    My main lens is the 18-200 but I also use a 17-55 2.8 and 70-200 2.8..
Can anyone confirm the 234 is no good for the equipment I use and if so, can you suggest another head please.
    Thanks very much.

    Hi Mike

I`m looking at the Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 and 055CXPRO4, the 03 weighing in at 1.65kg and the 04 at 1.70 so very little difference in that area.

Closed height for the 03 is 65cm and 54.5 for the 04

    Decisions, decisions !!!

I use a tripod regularly for landscape work and have always been happy with 3 section legs but see that a number now have 4 section legs.

As I need to replace my existing tripod, I`d appreciate hearing of pros and cons of the 2 choices.

    Thanks

I have been looking at another forum where there is a discussion about using the delete button on your camera and the general concensus seems to be DO NOT delete images via your camera but do so only when they have been downloaded on the computer.
It would be interesting to know the views of ephotozine members.

    Hi

Can someone please advise me of any Company that is able to transfer approx 25 mounted slides to a CD.

I have contacted a Birmingham firm and they are quoting 2 plus VAT per slide which seems a bit pricey but there again, I have no idea what the "going rate " is.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Commented on 'Which Wide Format Printer?'

"What am I having?" - what to drink or another printer ??? If it`s the former, a pint please.

You are responsible for making me think I should get another printer, not a big beast like you are searching for but one which would give me decent A3 prints. I see Warehouse Express have the Epson R1900 for 474 but Park Cameras advertise the same model for 379.99.

Is the 1900 the beefed up version of the 1800 you once had and if so, what did you think about it?. No problem for me that it will not print panoramas.

Anyone else have any thoughts or experiences - good or bad on the Epson R1900 ?

    Edd

Why not organise a "get the printer into the loft evening" and we could come round, have a few drinks etc. and then help you get it into its position.

It might not be so much a struggle after a few beers !!!
