A terrific action shot - Nature red in tooth and claw! You've caught the drama superbly, glad to hear that neither combatant was seriously injured, although the ginger one does look like she's been in the wars!
At first I thought you'd uploaded an image of spring cat antics, nicely captured Alan, a shame it has to happen, but in the wild they have to show who's boss, I suppose.

Oh dear, you can tell that there's trouble coming.
Excellent capture Alan, so clear and detailed. Not sure they are feral as their coats look in good condition and one is wearing a collar. The ginger one seems to be coming off worse and his face looks a bit battered too. Cat fights are very noisy and aggressive but thankfully only last a short time usually. I liked your interesting description of Koh Kret too.
Pretty sure this is a mating ritual - the grabbing by the scruff of the neck is standard -
she's doesn't appear in particular pain but she's not having any of it/him -
if they were fighting seriously from what I've observed they would be face to face rearing and slashing ?
