Prague - The Thinker

By AlanBW
Still very busy and playing catch up on portfoloios and latest uploads, but I'll get there! Some clicking and running might be unavoidable, so my apologies in advance.

We were not departing Prague at the crack of dawn, so we had a little time for some more sightseeing, etc., on our final morning. Tricia and I were ambling over Charles Bridge once again towards Mala Strana, with the aim of calling in to say farewell to our friends at U Glaubicu.

The character pictured above fascinated me greatly and not just for his appearance and somewhat exaggerated mannerisms. He was having a very serious conversation with one of the stall holders about halfway along the bridge and every so often he would turn away momentarily as if in deep thought, before turning back and continuing his hushed conversation. Here was far too interesting an individual to ignore, so we paused for a short while so that I could capture some shots. On this occasion, not only did he turn away, but he appeared to be seeking divine inspiration as he looked upwards. Shots duly taken, we continued on our way and as we walked past him he was still in deep and earnest conversation, oblivious to the fact that he was on camera.

We made our way through the archway into Mala Strana and on to U Glaubicu to bid our farewells. They were delighted that we had dropped in. Did we indulge in some wonderful Czech beer before leaving? Well it was 10 o'clock in the morning and we were still on holiday, so of course we did!
