Alan, as ever the time you have taken to explain and educate you visitors is as well-deserving of a click as the quality of your image. I really like the perspective in this, let's hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel for the new airport as there is in this great shot!

it's a bloody awfull structure. Don Muang is about to reopen, domestic carriers are moving back, Suvarnabhumi is - already - about to be closed - partially or completely - to fix all the shortcomings. It's a - be it rather good looking - airport built in the middle of a swamp. It's construction is rotten to the core because of corruption. Not a grain of sand used to build it, not a tiny piece of equipment to fill it has not been tainted by kickbacks or other forms or corruption. As if it's only reason to be build was to allow a number of people to fill their - already overflowing - pockets.
At least now Thailand finally has it's own monument in honour of the corruption that is embedded in their society so deeply. Only thing missing is a namechange from Golden Land to Greed
