Just playing with layers in GIMP I came up with this image based on a shot of the poppy field in Bewdley with the Lancaster I shot on it's flypast of the Severn Valley Railway a few weeks ago and the image of the soldiers I took during the battle reenactment at the 1940's weekend on the Railway. And it seemed to lend itself to a tribute to all those brave people who have served and continue to serve and of couse those who have given their lives for our country. i like this alot.
Not sure i like the ghostly look though, would love to see the plane and soldier the same clarity as poppy's

Excellent combination. The ghosting fits the title and thought behind it....very nice work. If only we could end the wars......
