baslow heather

baslow heatherLove the colours, Phil (I'm not so sure about the very deep blue top left, though?) and the heather looks super against the rocks. Carol

My Mum Takes The New Cam Out

My Mum Takes The New Cam OutIt's very pretty, tell her, and the droplets make it special. Processing wise, if she wanted to go that way, I'd maybe suggest brightening it a little, then pulling the highlights back and sharpening. I find this brings out the sparkle in water drops (and ice). Carol

shades of grey

shades of greyI do like this, Phil - the light was there and the tree branch lead from the foreground pool is super. But (only a little one) I feel you may have gone in just a little too close? The line of stones goes out of frame on the right and I feel there isn't quite enough of the pool there...? Carol

Wells-next-the-SeaOoh, typical summer sky! I love the row of huts and your use of wide angle - I also think the use of the pink hut at the end, to stand almost apart from the other more normally coloured blues and whites. A little space is good, but perhaps there is a little too much? It's only a minor, though. (and thanks for the reminder, it's a while since I've seen these...) Carol

DerekIt's a lovely candid (of a good bloke, by the looks of him) - but I do find the background rather distracting... portraits are so hard to do, though. Carol

ice chandalier

ice chandalierThese are great, lovely! More colour in V1, but I like the more abstract nature of V2. (though it kinda looks a bit like a football boot, heel toward the camera... okay, I know, I'm mad...) Number of times I've been past Sparrowpit, never stopping, though... Smile Might have tried to 'crystalise' the ice a bit more, though - touch of highlight pulling with a little sharpening (seems to work on my machine) - but that is personal taste...
