Plover point Light

By alansnap
My dearly beloved has gone to Milan for work - just in time for a general strike on Tuesday. Anyway I used the day to get some shots on the north of the Fylde at Cockerham Sands. The tide was right out so I was able to get out to the old light. There is still a beacon at the top. it's a bit muddy out there and the tide in Morecambe Bay is notorious, so I took a few shots and high tailed it out of there. I then spent a few hours photographing as the tide came in, but using mu 100-400 lens and 1.4 converter Smile

Thanks everyone. It is amazing that people I know who have lived here all there lives don't know about the light. I kept a very wary eye out for the tide. I have a shot taken later in the early afternoon where the tidal flow created what looked like a wake.
