Little Egret

By AlanWillis

I took this photo while waiting for the kingfisher.
In my 10 years of kingfisher studying, I have everything involving kingfishers in still photography.
Five years ago I wrote a kingfisher book, and two and a half years ago, I decided to make a film about kingfishers'
Every thing that could, went wrong, including 150 houses being built a few yards from the nest.
I have persevered, by finding two new nest complete my film.
This week I videoed the mating, It's at the end of the clip see below:

One new location has not been easy, It's a working environment, which the kingfishers have adapted to, by doing important work, early or late. When the people and vehicles have gone home. To complete my film I just need the young to fledge. This I'm expecting to happen between 4 and 5 AM, in about 7 weeks time.
I just have one chance to get it right!
I have a proof reader to help with my commentary, and a professional guitar player helping with the music.
Wish me luck?
