    A pleasure to view.
  • Great looking portfolio Tony with a nice variety of bird images.
But for me the stand out shots are of the SE-Owls, and I'm still green with envy everytime I pop in for a look at them, which is quite often.

    Nice work indeed.

  • Thanks for looking at my portfolio, glad you like it.

As for advice,I would say read your camera manual thoroughly and play about with the settings.Get used to the controls so that you can alter them without taking your eye off the subject. At the end of the day taking pictures with a digital camera costs nothing and as the old saying goes pratice makes perfect!

On subject matter, pick one at a time and stick at it until you're happy with your results.
Try for a clean background and the most natural if possible.

As for motorbike photography, get to the circuits early or get a weekend ticket and have a good look around for the best area to take the pictures.
Again clean backgrounds are important for a good image, but not always easy when shooting from public viewing areas.

You've joined a great site with some excellent photographers on it, which will all give advice if asked.

Take a look at my favourites for some great photographers on this site.
Hope this helps, you've got of to a good start.
    All the best

  • Hi Richard,
thanks for the comments on my work, I often view and click your work but very rarely comment... :-(
I'm not a landscape photographer so unable to give constructive comments in that area but rather than leaving (nice pic) comments I just admire and click your work which is outstanding BTW.

    Great looking website and portfolio.
