Barn Owl

By albi
This is a shot that i took yesterday of the male Barn Owl that I've been watching for the last month or so.
Thanks to Vincej I can now tell the difference between them, thanks for the info Vince. Smile

After friday I thought It couldn't get any better, but yesterday was just as good, and the Owls seem to have got use to the sound of the camera now and go about their hunting without giving me a second glance.

In this shot the bird is just starting to bank before diving into the long grass, it was down for a fair while so I imagine it was successful in getting a kill.

TECH: 1/2500 F8 EV -1 ISO 320

BEST IN THE LARGE VERSION.

Not boring you all yet am I...?
Thanks for looking

A great wild flight shot. Good exposure and nicley composed. Are you having to do much in PS or raw conversion to get the whites down or is the exposure techs bang on? I haven't really had a bash yet at contrasty flight shots and it seems a nightmare to expose properly. Grand job!!
