SE-Owl Hunting

By albi
This shot was taken yesterday afternoon whilst out photographing Barn Owls, it was by chance really I thought the Short Eared Owls had left the area as I haven't seen one for a while.
I spotted this one hunting along the hedge line further up the field and waited for it to come into range. I think I should have waited a few seconds more but as I wasn't using a hide yesterday, I panicked a little bit thinking it would spot me any second and this could be my only chance.
I wish my camera had a silent mode, because as soon as the shutter went it looked straight at me and then veered off, the Barn Owls don't seem bothered by it, but the SE-Owls soon move away if they see or hear you.
Anyway I'm still very pleased with this shot, which I hope you all like.

Thanks for the comments and clicks on the Barn Owl shot.
