A very difficult shot to take, both in terms of composition and exposure.
You've avoided any loss of detail in the highlights but, on the other hand, there are a lot of very dark areas. I quite like the way the roof is lost in the shadows but I think this kind of shot is a good candidate for HDR, with a light touch on the controls so things still look natural.
I'm afraid the composition here doesn't work for me — the viewpoint is not a good one. Pointing the lens upwards and at an angle to the wall leaves verticals and horizontals converging all over the place and there's no way to avoid the incomplete arch closest to the camera. Shots along the length of the nave or directly across its width tend to be more successful as there's less perspective distortion.
I'm sorry I can't be more positive.
By the way, when you're posting to the critique gallery, could you please include some details of the shot? It wouldn't have made much difference in this case but, in general, it's essential to know what sort of camera you're using as advice that might apply to a DSLR probably won't help somebody who's using a mobile phone. It's also useful to know the lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, whether or not a tripod was used and anything else that might affect how the shot comes out.
