Laguna Beach is a constant parade of colorful images. Bentleys sit in traffic near main beach in the heart of the "village" next to surfer wagons covered with murals and liberal bumper stickers, an annoyance to the arch conservatives in the lane next to them. A place where a Cadillac is what they give to the house keeper to grow grocery shopping.
Laguna has always been an artist colony, and they go about creating their art, ignoring the rich who collect their work in the hopes that as soon as the artist is safely dead, their collection will be worth ten times what they paid for it.
When nature decides it's time, storms come on shore scattering rich and poor alike. Only the surfers enjoy the weather, because they have the entire beach to themselves.
