outside the maul

By Aldo Panzieri
My wife and I were at one of those giant malls that seem to cover the entire world now. However, if you consider the hellish parking waiting for a space to open, and the huge crowds, it might be better if they were called 'mauls."

Like most men my age, I was looking for a rest room. Sign led me outside, which must a lot of fun on a rainy day. The restroom was clean enough to perform minor surgery in. On the way out, I happened to look up and saw these sun and rain shades above me. They make a fun place to try to find the dry spots between the wet and dry spots. As an art piece, they were quite pleasing, and I shot quite a few compositions of them.

You have made a very attractive composition of this.

(I hate malls.....I'm glad they are trying to at least make them attractive.)

A very pleasing artistic composition here, well observed and captured.

I loathe malls but got taken into one in Newcastle upon Tyne on Saturday while I was waiting for my camera's sensor to be cleaned. My husband said,

"We will just pop into the Apple store to have a look." Thirty minutes later we were back at the camera repair shop along with our two, brand new iPad Airs and Logitech keyboards and covers. Mine makes viewing your image a real pleasure!
