Red Succulants

By Aldo Panzieri
There is beauty everywhere if you really look for it. Old town Pasadena is a place where you can see exotic plants exotic tourists, especially the British who are whiter that a plate of dover soul. You can also see movie stars who hang out there more than they do in Beverly Hills because there seldom are mobs of paparazzi lurking around like the scum they really are. My wife likes to work a few hours a few days a week at Starbucks there in old town. Over the past, she has waited on Brittany Spears, Scarlet Johansson, Anthony Hopkins, about fifty tele actors, and a lunatic who plays conga drums while waiting for his Mocha Latte. The lunatic made the mistake of playing his drum in line with five Pasadena police officers right behind him. That shows are really crazy he is.

These type of plants are everywhere in the out door restaurants sitting in planters attached to the iron fences that surround the tables for the customers. In the ten years that my worked for Starbucks in Old Town, I have had trouble taking pictures only once. Last week a woman went postal on me because I took a picture of her $90.000 Mercedes, which in Old Town is considered a second car. With the Bentleys, the Tessla's, Aston Martins, Ferrari's and Maserati, A Mercedes is barely worth mentioning.

You always have a good story Aldo. Would have loved to see the lunatic with the bongos Grin. Lovely deep reds and like the shadow detail. Moira
