This is the second still life from my Mothers day pictures. The previous pictures showed an unusual combination of colors. The blue cast from a rainy, cloud filled sky, and a deep red the light from the restaurants out door patio lights creating a glow in the red fabric tent we were sitting in.

This is a black and white picture that had almost no color to it to begin with. After our plates were cleared, I noticed a napkin on the wet grass underneath our feet. I too it, and walked into the service area, and dropped it on the table. This is how it landed between a wall and a large steel bowl. I never arrange a still life, I have to find it. A long string of F's in art school will testify to that.

I enjoyed the unusual still life's which I almost never shoot, and The bill, which was $279, plus tip for three people. OOOWWWWCCCHHH!!!!!

Love the contrasts, the straight and the curve, the soft and the rough, light and shadow.
