This leaf fluttered down onto this picnic table during the cold winter days at the beach west of Los Angeles. It was stripped down to its frame and seemed to be a work of art all by itself. I took a few pictures of it, and then it fluttered to the paved road below. The dark paving gave it an entirely new look. I kept the leaf until it crumbled in the spring. I scattered the bits in a garden to joing the cycle of life.
