yellow spider

By Aldo Panzieri
We all like to think about the beauties of nature, but sometimes we get a reality check, a lion devours a antelope, a huge python crushes a wild boar and swallows it whole. This pictures is a reality check on a smaller scale. I was taking a picture of the flower when the butterfly landed on it. A bonus I thought. Suddenly this yellow spider moved incredibly fast, and killed the Monarch butterfly. I have never seen a yellow spider in California, nor could I find one animal life in California. In any case, I'm going to look more closely at flowers before I get close for a macro shot.

Although it's perhaps slightly less sharp than you'd have liked, it's still an interesting capture of life in the raw in miniature.
It's not the first time I have stuck my nose in a rose and disturbed a bee I'd omitted to spot.
So well worth checking before poking your nose into, or your macro lens close to a flowerWinkWink.

Awesome encounter, they all bring lessons we can take to heart. Nothing happens by chance, I think...
